Range of Flooring Options
Different hardwoods have different characteristics – anything from colour changes over time to slight shape changes when laid. Whether it’s solid floors, engineered floors or pre-finished floors, Abbey Flooring London will help you choose the perfect finish.
Solid floors
Using the same timber throughout, solid floors can be nailed or glued to the underside. Over a given width, they must be screwed and plugged on the face of the timber to prevent the boards from cupping.
Engineered floors
More stability and greater soundproofing are just two of the advantages of this type of floor over a solid floor. Wide boards can be laid without fixing to the face of the timber, and if necessary, floated.
Pre-finished floors
Already sealed to your desired finish, these types of floor don’t require sanding. However, they’re slightly more effort to maintain than solid or engineered floors; being prone to scratches which are more noticeable on darker pre-finished timbers.

Flooring Pricing
Square meterage is our rule of thumb. This can take the form of a supply-and-fit price, or scaled to labour only. All you need to do is give us the dimensions of the installation, or the size of the area that needs to be sanded, and Abbey Flooring London will prepare the quote.
If you accept the estimate, we’ll visit your location to confirm the price and set a date to begin creating the wooden floor you want.

Complaints Policy
Abbey Flooring always endeavours to provide the best service for every customer. However, on rare occasions, there may be times where a customer may not be completely satisfied.
To ensure Abbey Flooring is able to put things right as soon as possible, please read our complaints procedure below. Abbey Flooring will then be able to respond promptly to ensure complete satisfaction.
As soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out based on the contract terms and the high standards Abbey Flooring aims to achieve.
In the unlikely event there is anything you are not completely satisfied with, please contact Abbey Flooring so the problem can be rectified as soon as possible.
Our Complaints Procedure
Either call 0208 947 6621, contact online or write* to Abbey Flooring. The business aims to respond within 5 days of receiving your complaint and where possible, will provide you with a date to remedy any issues raised.
Where Abbey Flooring is unable to resolve your complaint using the business complaints procedure, as a Which? Trusted Trader the business uses Dispute Resolution Ombudsman for dispute resolution. In the unlikely event that the business cannot remedy your complaint to your satisfaction, you may wish to refer your complaint to them. If you wish to do so, please contact Which?
